Civica combines exceptional customer focus and experience with commitment to provide digital technology and automation behind essential everyday services to more than 3,000 organisations in 10 countries, impacting around 100 million people and businesses worldwide.
Many of Civica’s customers are Australia’s top public sector organisations, education institutes, libraries, community housing providers, community care providers and private health funds. Examples include Department of Justice and Community Safety, Department for Education South Australia, ACT Government, BaptistCare, Anglicare, Hamilton City Council, HCF, Arcare Aged Care, and Multitask.
In past few years, Civica experienced substantial growth driven by its corporate strategy, focusing on products, customers, people and acquisitions. Acquisitions are a core element of Civica’s global strategy to add complementary capability and to increase scale in order to respond to market opportunity. In line with this strategy, Civica acquired Icon Global, a community care cloud software business providing market-leading Carelink cloud-based software solutions for the community care market in August 2018, and has just acquired Australian mobile asset management software company Asset Edge. Both companies cited ‘commitment to people’, ‘sense of purpose’ and shared values as key factors in deciding to join Civica.
Civica works closely with customers to develop existing products and innovative new solutions; demonstrating how a workforce with effective IT systems can help improve services and support new business models. The company, which is a part of the global Civica Group, headquartered in the UK with locations in the US, India, Singapore, ANZ and Ireland, regularly hosts user groups and customer events that enable development of products and services that match customer needs and leverage rapid changes in technology. Its partnership with the University of Technology Sydney Institute for Public Policy and Governance (UTS; IPPG)) has resulted in a regular Changing LandscapeTM research series which is recognised industry-wide and provides insights for the public sector, libraries, and education industries in ANZ.
